The world of most expensive wines is still believed to be dominated by this vintage, a relatively young wine. It is a six-litre bottle of Cabernet from Napa Valley. This wine arguably was reclaimed after it was sold for a record breaking sum at the Napa Valley Wine Auction in 2000 for charity.
This bottle has been a part of the top lists of the most expensive wines in the world for many years and attracting the world’s attention. The wine comes from the most respected grape-producing area in the World. The wine has notes of blackcurrant, liquorice, vanilla, boysenberry and dark chocolate aroma with oak-aged attributes.

Described as the most costly wine which has yet to be sold, this is another stock from Jefferson. The owner of this wine is the New York wine merchant William Sokolin. This bottle was once valued at $500,000 but the value of it now has been lowered to just $225,000.
There is Margaux among five first-growth chateaux, and thus, this wine has been considered the best since 1855. The fact of being a Margaux was considered prestige long before the date of 1855. It was mentioned in an auction advertisement which was published in the London Gazette in 1705.
1869 Chateau Lafite Rothschild

According to the literature review, the first vintage was developed by the Rothschild family in 1869, and it is in their chateau winery in Médoc. The Premier Grand Cru Classé wines were ever bottled in 1953 and 1983, and the latter was sold for $232,692. It became the most expensive single wine bottle in an auction in 2010.
This Bordeaux-based 1869 proves to have flavours of cedar, oak, and leather. Some lingering notes on the palate are of blackcurrant and plum, and the wine has robust tannins. James de Rothschild (1792–1868) was the founder of the bank in Paris Rothschild and the best wine lover.
