In recent years, there have been many writers that could be spotted in the Dehradun Community Literature Fest are Sudha Menon, Devdutt Pattanaik, Kavita Kane, Dr Rakhshanda Jalil, Kavita Kane and Arundhathi Subramaniam.
This fest also holds an annual writing competition in which Manu participates. It also invites manuscripts in two different categories. These categories are ‘Promising writers’ and ‘Budding writers’, where the writer Ruskin Bond awards the winners with the ‘Ruskin Bond Literary Award’ to the winning participant.
